Decluttering & Organising Ahead of Having A Baby

Are you a new mama or papa? First time having a baby? About to have one soon?

There is so much excitement (as well as panic) when having the first baby. There is so much to think about and to prepare - lots of presents are given and lots of items are purchased in preparation for the baby's arrival. A lot of the items will be used at one point, but there will also be a third of the items that are not used ever (even for your next born kids). On top of that, you have to get the room ready for the new arrival.

Getting the room ready doesn't mean only organising the new stuff that you have acquired, it also means decluttering the space of your current items to make room for the new items. This can be daunting and overwhelming, especially when you factor in the hormones. To reduce the overwhelmedness of this moment, this week we discuss how to declutter and prepare for your new arrival:

  1. How to declutter your room in preparation.

  2. Dealing with presents from families and friends.

  3. Organising the clothing into easy to find piles.
