Do you wake up in the morning and start panicking and thinking about the day and what is happening? Are you relaxed in the shower or frazzled?

There are ways to organise your mind, by organise your routine. Here are a few tips on what I do to make sure I am never frazzled when I wake up:

1. Review your to do list and calendar at night before you go to bed. I use the app Tick Tick to note down my to do items for my work and also personal life. Also check your calendar so you know what your day will be like tomorrow.

2. Switch off your phone or put it on vibrate at least half an hour before you go to bed.

3. If you use your phone as your alarm, switch off the alarm and don't start looking at emails, social media, the news apps. I do meditation for 20 minutes as soon as my alarm goes off so have to switch on via my phone.

4. Whilst brushing your teeth, having a shower, etc, think about what you are doing. Make a note of the smell of your shower gel. Learn to not think about your day, just enjoy the moment.

5. Eat breakfast but don't switch on your computer, tv, or radio. Just sit there enjoying that breakfast and eating it slowly.

6. Get dressed for the day. Then pick up your mobile and start your day.It can take me 1 hour to 1 hour and a half to start looking at social media, news and emails, from when I wake up. By the time I start my day, I am relaxed but aware of what is coming during the day.The tips might seem obvious, but how many of them do you follow right now.  Try out these tips and let me know how they work for you.
